CDM = cardiomyopathy; NA = not applicable.

  • Composite of the following: maternal death, heart failure, arrhythmia, cerebrovascular events, pulmonary embolism, arterial embolism, atheroembolism, obstetric pulmonary embolism, cardiac complications of anesthesia or other sedation in labor and delivery, and acute myocardial infarction. Some individuals experienced more than 1 type of major adverse cardiac event (MACE) subset; however, these events are counted only once in the composite MACE: this accounts for a composite MACE value lower than the sum of all subsets. Note: p values for multinomial variables and binary variables were calculated on the basis of chi-square test and Fisher exact test, respectively.
