Rate of Incident HFpEF, by LVH and Tertile of NT-proBNP or hs-cTnT
(A) NT-proBNP; (B) hs-cTnT. HFpEF ascertained as described in the Methods section as incident HF with LVEF ≥45% based on clinical echocardiograms or other cardiac imaging performed within 30 days of the HF event and expressed as number of incident events per 100 person-years. The study sample was divided into age- and sex-specific tertiles of each biomarker, as described in the Methods section. HFpEF = heart failure with preserved ejection fraction; other abbreviations as in Figures 1 and 2.
